The Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness works in collaboration with the program directors at Massachusetts General Brigham to deliver a case-driven and didactic approach to value-based care. This course is offered to residents and fellows training at Massachusetts General Brigham Hospital and focuses on key topics around Primary Care, Integrated Practice Units, Outcomes Measurement, Cost Measurement, Value-based Payments, and Safety Net Hospitals.

The annual one-week Value-Based Health Care Delivery Intensive Seminar is a non-credit, graduate-level program held at Harvard Business School using in-depth case studies of health care organizations who are leaders in value-based health care.
Value-Based Health Care Curriculum
Value-Based Health Care Delivery (VBHCD) is a distinctive curriculum developed at Harvard Business School by Professor Michael Porter and the health team at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness. The VBHCD curriculum, designed to be taught at universities, medical schools, and in education programs for health professionals around the world, consists of conceptual frameworks and actual in-depth case studies of numerous health care provider organizations, health plans, and employers offering health benefits.
