Affiliated Institutes for Competitiveness


The Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness has entered into partnerships with the institutes listed on this page for the purpose of collaboration in teaching, research, and quantitative assessments of national and regional competitiveness.  These partnerships will improve the understanding of competitiveness through developing concepts, generating data, teaching, publishing, and delivering project-based advice.

The Institute has been established with the goal of leading research on competitiveness issues throughout Asia. Headed by Professor Neo Boon Siong, the Institute aims to become a thought leader on competitiveness in Asia and in doing so influence regional policy-making in this area with the ultimate objective of raising living standards through productivity-driven economic growth.

International Center for Competitiveness
IESE Business School at the University of Navarra
The mission of the International Center for Competitiveness is to provide research and teaching in the following fields:
    
• The role of the European Union within the scope of a global economy
     • Competitiveness of nations and regions within the European Union under the framework created by Prof. Porter in his book “The Competitive Advantage of Nations” and subsequent publications in this field.
     • The role of “clusters” in the process of achieving the goals of what is known as “Lisbon 2010”
     • Relocation of activities by large European firms
     • Globalization and the off-shoring phenomena.


ORKESTRA, The Institute of Kompetitiveness + Development
Deusto University
The Institute is a privately-managed, public service initiative linked to Deusto University, characterized by its flexibility, academic rigor and business praxis.  Its mission is to provide support to the public administrations, social and economic agents and all the universities in the Basque Country in the field of competitiveness and, by contributing to enhance the competitive advantages of the Basque Country, to foster higher social and economic growth rates and a higher standard of living for its population.

Toronto
The Institute for Competitiveness and Prosperity is an independent, not-for-profit organization that deepens public understanding of macro and microeconomic factors behind Ontario’s economic progress. It is funded by the Government of Ontario and mandated to share  research findings directly with the public.

Center for Strategy and Competitiveness
Stockholm School of Economics
The Center for Strategy and Competitiveness focuses on four research tracks: Strategy and International Business, Creation and Diffusion of Knowledge in Networks, Clusters and Competitiveness, and Micro Policy. The Center applies and develops theoretical models to investigate the determinants of competitiveness and economic development from a bottom up, microeconomic perspective. CSC coordinates the Europe INNOVA Cluster Mapping project and the European Cluster Observatory.
